Tourist Tax

Catalan tourist tax (is payable directly to the hotel upon arrival). Apartments and hotels up to one euro per person per night, payable for the first seven nghts, children under sixteen are exempt.

 

Your Travel Route

Board your coach early morning from your chosen pick-up point and head towards Dover/Folkestone to catch the ferry/Le Shuttle to Calais or Boulogne.

 

Our preference is to use the Ferry where possible as this provides an opportunity for a comfort break.

 

On arrival in France we continue the journey on the main Autoroute through France, heading for Lyon and Pepignan. We travel through the night, making two stops of around 30 minutes to allow you to purchase food and freshen up. There will be occassional 'comfort stops' en-route.

 

We cross the French/Spanish border at La Jonquera and arrive in the Costa Brava in the morning.

 

Travelling Times

The coach journey to the Costa Brava takes approximately 24, but of course during peak periods, the travelling time could be extended.

 

Direct Coach Travel

Everybody likes to arrive at their destination as quickly as possible, this is why we only operate a limited number of pick-up points on our European holidays. We do not use feeder coaches, so there is no need to change coaches, so you will be on your way as soon as you’re on board. Once you’re on board, thats it.... sit back, relax and we’ll get you there!

 

Executive Coaches

All coaches deliver the highest level of comfort and safety on board. Drivers are carefully chosen and training to ensure you receive a service we would expect ourselves.

 

The coaches we use all have the same facilities on board, ie video entertainment system, air conditioning, recycling seats, toilets and hot drink facilities. Some services sometimes become inoperable. Rectification will however take place as quickly.

 

Coach Host

All of our European holidays include a coach host(ess) on board.

Hot/Cold drinks and snacks can be purchased from the host/hostess who will endeavour to make your journey as pleasant as possible

There is a very limited supply of water available and therefore we are unable to supply hot water for flasks or personal drinks not purchased on-board.

 

Seating

On most of our coaches the seats are approximately 440mm wide. Larger passengers who’s size exceeds the seat dimensions will reduce the space avaialble for the person sitting next to them. This can cause discomfort to others, if you are unable to sit within the seat provided without touching or overlapping any part of the neighbouring seat you must pay for an additional seat.

 

All seating on our coaches is arranged when booking and your seat numbers will be on your booking confirmation. These seat numbers are used for both outward and inward journeys.

 

Yellowdays reserve the right to alter to ammend seating numbers for operational purposes without prior notification.

 

Resort Arrival

Once you have arrived at resort there may not be a represenative to welcome you to your hotel/apartment and is is likely that your rooms will not be available. All rooms are available from 2.00pm in hotels and 5.00pm in apartments. Our resort hotels/apartments do their utmost best to ensure that rooms are ready on arrival. Some hotels have restrictions which means we are not always able to drop you off outside the accomodation. A short walk may be neccessary.

 

Check In

Once you and your luggage has been dropped off at your hotel/apartment, please have your passport and holiday reservation ticket ready to check in. The receptionist will retain your passport for one day to extract the required details.

 

When on Holiday

Yellowdays cannot be held responsible for the conduct and behaviour of all holidaymakers within resort and within the accomodations.

 

Departure Day

ALL rooms and apartments must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. This is to allow staff to prepare rooms for new arrivals. Some accomodations allow a late check out (charge applicable), please speak to reception.

All departures from Spain are between 12:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs. It must be stressed that these are stand-by times are are a guide only.

The majority of passengers want to arrive home as quickly as possible. Therefore, on the return journey we endeavour to keep the number of breaks to a minimum.
